The Samson Trail was built on Canada’s oldest iron railroad bed and named in honour of the historic Samson locomotive. It has been built along old rail line beds that once ran through the town, today you can run, walk or bike along these trails, on both the East and West Sides of New Glasgow’s scenic riverfront.
All trails are pet friendly and open year-round with conveniently located washroom facilities and parking.
There are many ways to access this trail and ample parking places as well. Access points are Kinsmen Look-Off, Carmichael Park, Pedestrian Bridge, Rotary Park and Duff Cemetery.
