A unique experience awaits you, just 50 minutes east of Halifax along the Eastern Shore. Stroll back in time to the 1940s, when pink fridges and green washing machines were the height of modern convenience.

Cuddle a kitten while sitting on the running board of a bright red 1948 International Pick-up and feel this era of transition, when oil lamps faded away to bare light bulbs, and the Second World War changed rural life forever.

Sixteen rescued buildings, including a general store, church, one-room schoolhouse, boat shop, fisherman’s storehouse, a family home and barn, ice house, shingle mill, and the gold mining complex authentically recreate a typical 1940s coastal village.

Costumed “Villagers”, farm animals, daily Cookhouse meals, special tour packages, general store featuring a section for local artists, free WiFi and visitor information available. Just 10 minutes from Clam Harbour Beach Provincial Park.
